Scott is a Mental Health Counselor (MHC), who is in the midst of earning his doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Scott deploys a person-centered approach with a large focus on techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) that he tailors to the unique needs of each individual. He helps clients develop ways to skillfully approach rather than avoid their life stressors, correct maladaptive thinking patterns, and develop effective coping skills to deal with psychological distress. Scott strives to provide his clients with a nonjudgmental environment to heal through an abundance of validation, empathy, and support.
